About the Role
Excite Cyber is looking for a Modern Workplace Engineer to join our team and help deliver an exceptional end-user technology experience. This is an initial 3-month contract with potential for extension. This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you’ll support modern workplace technologies, collaborate with business stakeholders, and help drive productivity through Microsoft 365, automation, and emerging AI solutions.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating with people, and finding practical technology solutions that make a real difference to the way people work.
What You’ll Do
- Provide end-user support across Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace technologies.
- Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 applications, and collaboration platforms.
- Troubleshoot Windows 11 desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and workplace peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), meeting room technology, and collaboration spaces.
- Assist with Microsoft Power Automate workflows and identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation.
- Support Microsoft Copilot, AI-powered productivity tools, and emerging workplace technologies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their technology needs and deliver practical solutions.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates in line with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
- Take ownership of technical issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution while delivering excellent customer service.
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Windows 11, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and/or Active Directory.
- Experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and workplace collaboration technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and basic PowerShell scripting.
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot or other AI productivity tools is highly regarded.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across end-user devices and workplace technology.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with business users.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience implementing or supporting automation initiatives.
- Exposure to AI-enabled workplace solutions and digital transformation projects.
- ITIL Foundation or other IT Service Management certification.
- Microsoft certifications relating to Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, or Endpoint Management.
