Employment OS for your Business

Senior HR Partner – Remote

Manila, Philippines • Full-time

Description

Senior HR Partner – Australian Market (Based in the Philippines)

Location: Manila (or remote PH-based)

Alignment: Australian East Coast hours

Reports to: Managing Director (Australia)

We’re hiring a Senior HR Partner based in the Philippines who operates at Australian boardroom level – someone who understands the Fair Work Act, can interpret Modern Awards with ease, and is confident advising CEOs, founders and senior leaders in real time.

This is not a transactional role. This is a strategic advisory position embedded into the Australian market.

Why This Role Exists

Australian businesses are scaling fast — and they need senior HR capability that blends:

  • Deep Australian employment law expertise
  • Strategic workforce design
  • High-trust stakeholder influence
  • Commercial acumen
  • Digital and AI-driven HR capability

We’re building a cross-border HR model that is ethical, compliant, high-impact — and future-ready.

If you’ve worked in an Australian-facing HR role and want to step into something more strategic, this is your move.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

1️⃣ Executive-Level Advisory (Australian Market)

  • Provide written and verbal advice to Australian CEOs, CFOs and operational leaders
  • Interpret the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
  • Lead complex ER/IR case management
  • Guide restructures, performance processes and organisational change
  • Support Fair Work Commission matters where required
  • Ensure compliance while protecting commercial outcomes
  • You must be able to deliver advice confidently, clearly, and without supervision.

2️⃣ Strategic Workforce Projects

This role goes well beyond compliance.

You will lead and support:

  • Leadership readiness and succession planning frameworks
  • Workforce analytics and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Organisational design and team restructuring projects
  • AI governance and ethical HR implementation
  • Capability redesign and career pathway frameworks
  • Engagement and performance uplift programs
  • You’ll connect HR strategy directly to commercial results.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years HR experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a dedicated Australian-facing HR role or prior employment within Australia
  • Demonstrated mastery of Australian employment law
  • Hands-on experience interpreting Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience managing complex ER/IR cases independently
  • Strong written English with Australian-standard documentation capability
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders directly
  • Highly Valued
  • Exposure to Fair Work Commission processes
  • AHRI-aligned experience or equivalent certification
  • CHRBP™, CHRP® or related strategic HR certifications
  • Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments
  • Workforce analytics and AI-enabled HR systems experience
  • Experience operating within EOR or offshore engagement models

Who You Are

  • Commercially sharp, not theoretical
  • Comfortable delivering “uncomfortable truths” when required
  • Direct communicator who understands Australian business culture
  • High emotional intelligence — but not conflict-avoidant
  • Strategic thinker who connects HR to productivity and enterprise risk
  • Digitally fluent and AI-aware
  • Calm under pressure, structured in thinking, precise in language
  • You operate as a partner — not support staff.

What You’ll Get

  • Direct exposure to Australian executive leadership
  • Strategic project ownership (not just operational execution)
  • Competitive PH-based senior-level compensation
  • 13th month pay + statutory benefits
  • Australian-aligned work culture
  • High autonomy and influence
  • Long-term growth pathway into regional or global HR leadership
  • This is a premium role within the Philippine market — and we expect premium capability.

Compensation

Senior-level Philippine package aligned to Australian-facing expertise.

Includes:

  • Competitive base salary (top-tier PH HR bracket)
  • Statutory benefits
  • 13th month pay
  • Performance-based incentives

Ready to Step Into a Real Business Partner Role?

  • If you can confidently explain the BOOT.
  • If you’ve managed Australian ER cases without escalation.
  • If you can sit on a Zoom call with a CEO and lead the conversation — not just take notes.

We want to hear from you.

Apply with:

  • Your CV
  • A short statement outlining your Australian HR experience
  • An example (anonymised) of a complex HR matter you’ve managed

Role Type

Anywhere • Permanent • Full-time • Mid-level Senior
