An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Electrician
to join our shore-side maintenance team at our Cape Lambert operations
in the Pilbara.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a
member of the shore-based maintenance team and responsible for a range of
electrical, phone and data, domestic and commercial installation and repairs
on-board our tug and small craft fleet within our marine operations in the
Pilbara.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety standards and contribute to positive safe behaviours within the team.
- Comply with all isolation, permit and Critical Risk Management requirements under Westug and Rio Tinto standards.
- Ensure maintenance records and reports are accurately entered into the CMMS.
- Take ownership of preparing for work tasks by ensuring parts and stock are
ordered and the relevant safety systems are utilised.
- Inspect and repair electrical equipment including 12, 24 and 240 (where vessel applicable) volt systems.
- Fault finding & repairs
- Understanding of the test and repair of PLC and system control systems
- Switchboard function testing
- Pressure sensor testing & calibration
Skills & Experience
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification in the Electrical Field or equivalent.
- Licence to Perform Electrical Work (Relevant to the State in which duties are performed).
- Current A Grade Electrical License
- Full ARC Refrigeration License (highly regarded)
- MSIC (or eligibility to hold one)
- Basic understanding of radio and navigational equipment
- WA Class C Manual Drivers License
