About the role

Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Transport Admin / Fleet Assistant. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and support the Fleet Allocator and conduct various transport administration functions.  Your key responsibility will be managing a team of drivers. This position will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants a career progression in management.

 

What you’ll be doing

Assisting the Fleet Allocator with;

  • Managing the safety of the fleet.
  • Scheduling and allocating all transport requests, deliveries and determining company driver or subcontractor requirements.
  • Receive inbound calls providing a high level of customer service.
  • Communicating with drivers.
  • Monitor and assist drivers on correct procedures including company policies on pallet control
  • Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, as well as applicable industry and Company standards
  • Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, to resolve issues
  • Assist the transport operations as required.

 

About you

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Australian Road Transport Industry.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • Customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
  • Sound computer knowledge including the use of TransVirtual, Outlook, Word, Excel etc
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, achieve performance and productivity targets
  • Extensive working knowledge of the geography of New South Wales
  • Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • An energetic approach and dedication to your career.
  • Forklift License (desirable but not necessary)
