Summary:

The Finance and Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and procurement processes within our logistics distribution and supply chain sector. Based in Moorebank, New South Wales, this permanent full-time position is essential for ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial integrity, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise resource allocation and cost management.
• Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Lead and mentor the finance and procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance or management accounting role.
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment, ideally transport, logistics, or supply chain.

Desirable

• Experience in the road transport or third-party logistics (3PL) sector.
• Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) or fleet management platforms.
• Experience managing or mentoring a small finance team.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicle industry Awards and enterprise agreements.
