Summary:

The Finance and Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and procurement processes within our logistics distribution and supply chain sector. Based in Moorebank, New South Wales, this permanent full-time position is essential for ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial integrity, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our business operations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise resource allocation and cost management.
Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, maintaining accurate financial records.
Lead and mentor the finance and procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance or management accounting role.

• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.

• Strong proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment, ideally transport, logistics, or supply chain.

Desirable

• Experience in the road transport or third-party logistics (3PL) sector.

• Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) or fleet management platforms.

• Experience managing or mentoring a small finance team.

• Knowledge of heavy vehicle industry Awards and enterprise agreements.
