ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the Sydney Sixers team for an exciting internship opportunity supporting the delivery of WBBL and BBL match days at North Sydney Oval and the SCG. Working across event operations, fan engagement, and stakeholder coordination, you’ll play an important role in bringing match day experiences to life. From preparing event documentation to supporting key match day functions such as transport, venue access, and fan activations, you’ll gain valuable exposure to the planning and delivery of major sporting events.
We’re looking for a motivated university student undertaking a relevant internship elective who can work flexibly across planning sessions and match days. If you’re passionate about sport, events, and creating memorable fan experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
Key areas you will be responsible for:
- Support the Sydney Sixers Events team in the planning and delivery of WBBL and BBL match days at North Sydney Oval (NSO) and the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
- Assist with the delivery of fan activation zones on match days, including the setup, operation, and pack-down of activities and experiences.
- Prepare and coordinate match day documentation, signage, catering requirements, parking information, and other operational communications.
- Engage professionally with key stakeholders, including team management, venue staff, event partners, and spectators, while representing the Sydney Sixers brand.
- Develop an understanding of the Sydney Sixers brand, audience, products, and event objectives, applying this knowledge to support successful match day outcomes.
- Assist with general event operations and logistics to ensure the smooth running of match day activities.
ABOUT YOU
- Currently enrolled in a university degree and undertaking a relevant internship elective (essential).
- Available to work across all WBBL and BBL match days during the 2026/27 season, with flexibility to attend planning sessions and office days as required, including some evenings and weekends.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across a team environment.
- Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Able to work flexibly from Cricket Central, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and develop within a professional sporting environment.
