Description

Crawfords Freightlines are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team at our Sandgate depot for an immediate start.

About Us:

Crawfords is a privately owned and operated intermodal transportation and logistics company with operations in road, rail, port logistics, and warehousing and a network of 3 depots across Eastern Australia.

About the Role:

The HR Manager will lead the HR function nationally and manage the HR Coordinator to provide support, solutions and facilitation, compliant to Crawfords guidelines and in line with business strategies and plans. This is a busy, diverse and very hands-on role.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing professional, practical advice, information, guidance and coaching across a broad spectrum of HR operations,
  • Managing the recruitment and selection processes,
  • Interpreting awards and legislation to support employment related matters,
  • Day to day management and integrity of HR policies, processes and procedures as well as ensuring compliance with regards to legislative requirements,
  • Oversee the injury management process in collaboration with the safety department, and
  • Work with various stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Bachelor Level Qualification in HR, or related business degree,
  • 5-10 years experience within the Transport or other heavy industry,
  • A demonstrated understanding of award classifications and interpretation,
  • Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated by previous experience in developing high performing teams,
  • An ability to work as part of a team whilst managing competing priorities with a high degree of organisation and self-direction, and
  • The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and random Drug & Alcohol testing.
