Circle Green Community Legal (Circle Green) is a community legal centre providing humanitarian, tenancy, workplace, and family and domestic violence legal advice, further assistance, representation, advocacy, community legal education, referrals, outreach, and support.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The People and Culture Manager leads the organisation’s people, culture, health, safety and wellbeing functions, providing both strategic leadership and hands on operational delivery across the full employee and volunteer lifecycle.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role partners closely with the CEO and leaders across the organisation to build a positive, compliant and high performing workplace culture aligned with Circle Green’s values, purpose and strategic objectives.
In addition to leading People and Culture functions, the role is the organisational-wide custodian of Circle Green’s policy and procedure framework, with accountability for ensuring all policies and procedures are current, compliant, well-governed, clearly communicated and consistently applied.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and oversee all aspects of the employee and volunteer lifecycle.
- Lead workforce planning activities.
- Implement health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives that support, care for, and protect
staff, including psychosocial safety.
- Provide timely HR advice and support to the leadership team and employees.
- Support, advise, and coach the senior leadership team in managing staffing matters,
including performance management, behaviour, and grievances.
- Oversee the development, review, and maintenance of Human Resources policies and
procedures in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Act as the organisational owner of the policy and procedure framework, coordinating
regular reviews, version control, approval processes and governance across all
functions.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a proactive, positive individual who thrives on improving processes and fostering
great workplace culture. In addition to your excellent organisational skills, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills together with:
· Relevant tertiary qualification in human resources, organisational development, employment relations, business, governance or a related discipline, and/or substantial demonstrated experience delivering both strategic and operational people and culture functions.
· Experience developing, reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures and frameworks to
support organisational compliance, consistency and good governance.
· Well-developed capability to manage compliance obligations, monitor legislative change, and
ensure organisational systems, policies and practices remain current and effective.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships,
influence stakeholders and support leaders through change.
