Circle Green Community Legal (Circle Green) is a community legal centre providing humanitarian, tenancy, workplace and family and domestic violence legal advice, further assistance, representation, advocacy, community legal education, referrals, outreach and support.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in strengthening Circle Green’s long‑term financial sustainability and impact. This newly created role is responsible for growing and diversifying revenue through grants, tenders, partnerships, fundraising and philanthropic opportunities. It combines strategic planning with hands‑on delivery and is focused on building a practical, outward‑facing funding and partnerships function aligned to organisational priorities and values. Working closely with the CEO, Principal Lawyers and internal stakeholders, the role identifies funding opportunities, coordinates high‑quality submissions, builds external relationships and establishes clear systems to track performance and impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and develop grants, tenders, partnerships and fundraising opportunities.
  • Coordinate and prepare high‑quality grant and tender submissions.
  • Build and manage relationships with funders, partners and supporters.
  • Develop proposals and cases for support.
  • Establish and maintain a funding pipeline and reporting framework.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to translate programs and outcomes into compelling funding narratives.
  • Support appropriate fundraising and philanthropic activity aligned to Circle Green’s scale and capacity.

ABOUT YOU!

We are seeking a motivated, organised and relationship‑focused individual who is comfortable working both strategically and practically. You will bring strong written communication skills and a proactive approach to building new opportunities, along with:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grants, tenders, partnerships or revenue generation roles.
  • Proven ability to secure funding or develop successful external partnerships.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • High‑quality writing capability, including grant and proposal development.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and build new systems and processes.
  • Alignment with Circle Green’s purpose, values and commitment to social justice.
