What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting residents with their daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobilising
  • Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing, and working with the broader care to report and document changes in residents health status
  • Providing companionship and engaging residents in social activities and therapeutic programs
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to residents’ care
  • Providing professional and compassionate care that meets the high standards required by Carinya and the strengthened aged care standards

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in aged care or personal care, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in providing personal care to elderly individuals, preferably in a residential setting, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, their families and the broader care team
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to promoting the wellbeing of, and advocating for our residents
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and the strengthened Aged Care standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate with nursing staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for your residents
  • Current police check and working with children check (or willingness to obtain)
