Fast-paced HR generalist roles: startups, scale-ups, agencies, professional services, hospitality or retail. If you’ve worn a few HR hats in a growing business, know your way around a HRIS, and genuinely enjoy people, we want to hear from you.

This is a role for someone who doesn’t want to sit behind a policy folder, it’s hands-on, varied and visible. You’ll be partnering with managers and leaders across the business and bringing CareVicinity’s culture to life day-to-day.

You’ll get to work alongside a part-time HR Administrator to assist with handling day-to-day tasks (recruitment coordination, HRIS management and the like).

What You’ll Do

  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, variations and policies – keeping us compliant and reflective of who we are
  • Owning our HRIS, keeping data clean, building reporting and streamlining workflows
  • Running our onboarding program so new starters feel connected and capable from day one
  • Supporting managers with check-ins, performance conversations and development planning
  • Sourcing and coordinating learning opportunities and running our L&D calendar
  • Bringing our recognition and rewards program to life, peer-to-peer kudos, milestones and celebrations
  • Running engagement and pulse surveys and turning the insights into action
  • Coaching managers through everyday people matters with empathy and pragmatism
  • Partnering with our HR Administrator and hiring managers on recruitment activity
  • Helping us build career frameworks and pathways as the business grows

  • Have 3-5 years’ HR generalist experience, ideally in a growing or fast-paced business
  • Know your way around Australian employment law (Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards)
  • Are confident with HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero
  • Can draft a policy, a contract clause and a recognition email with clarity
  • Are pragmatic, organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
  • Have high EQ, low ego, and people trust you with hard stuff
  • Are energetic, curious and growth-oriented – you want to grow with us, and help others do the same
  • Are tertiary qualified in HR, Business or a related field
