About the Role 👶📚
As a Room Leader, you will manage the daily operations of your room and guide a small team to deliver high‑quality, play‑based learning experiences. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age‑appropriate learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Documenting children’s learning, development and assessments
- Creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Supporting children’s health needs, routines, rest and wellbeing
- Leading your team in preparing and maintaining learning resources and equipment
- Building positive, respectful relationships with families and sharing information about their child’s day
- Upholding regulatory standards, Council values and confidentiality requirements
Salary and Benefits 💼✨
- Salary Range: Grade 5 at $41.33 – $ 46.15 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
- 12% superannuation

What We’re Looking For 🌟
You have:
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting families
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide and support a small team
- Knowledge of early learning principles, teaching practices and relevant legislation
- Strong organisational skills to plan programs, manage routines and meet deadlines
- Good judgement, problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt as situations change
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- NSW Working With Children Check
- Australian residency or valid work visa
You also have:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR Certificate III and actively working towards a Diploma, with at least 1 year of practical experience.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, photo documentation tools)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Class C, P1 or P2 Driver Licence
