As a Booking Clerk/Pallet Controller at Bluestar Global Logistics at our Willawong QLD depot, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service for our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating pick-up requests, communicating with customers, and assisting with various customer service inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Booking Coordination:

  • Receive and process booking requests from clients, either through electronic systems, phone calls, or emails.
  • Schedule transportation services based on client requirements, considering factors like transportation mode, route, delivery timeline, and available resources

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to confirm booking details, provide updates on transportation status, and address any concerns or changes.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all bookings, including client information, transportation details, schedules, and any special requirements.
  • Prepare and share relevant documentation, such as bills of lading and delivery confirmations, with appropriate stakeholders.

Pallet Tracking and Allocation:

  • Maintain accurate records of pallet inventory through manual tracking systems and digital platforms.
  • Allocate pallets for outbound shipments based on prioritized needs, destinations, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor pallet availability and collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure a sufficient supply of pallets for upcoming operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or logistics role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and logistics management tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
