About the Opportunity 

This is a newly created role sitting at the heart of Beneco’s People & Culture function. As our dedicated HR Advisor, you’ll work closely with the Leader of People, Culture & Strategy to deliver a best-in-class employee experience across our growing occupational rehabilitation team. 

You’ll be the go-to for practical, generalist HR support; advising leaders, guiding employees through every stage of the employment lifecycle, and contributing to P&C initiatives that drive real outcomes for our people and the clients we support through their recovery and return to work journey.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Provide timely, practical HR advice to leaders and employees across a broad range of generalist matters including performance, ER, policy, and workforce queries 
  • Support the full employee lifecycle: from onboarding and induction through to offboarding; you’ll ensure a consistent and positive experience at every stage 
  • Partner with leaders to proactively identify people risks and opportunities, supporting workforce planning and organisational effectiveness 
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with Beneco’s values and legislative requirements 
  • Collaborate with the P&C team on key initiatives including engagement, culture, and continuous improvement projects 
  • Maintain accurate HR data and reporting to support informed people decisions 

About You 

You’re ready to step up from your HR Coordinator role and have a genuine passion for people. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to advise across a range of HR matters. You also bring: 

  • 2–3 years of generalist HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-stage environment within the healthcare space or other multisite organisations is highly desirable.  
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work, and HR best practice 
  • Experience with HR platforms and systems – experience with Employment Hero is a bonus 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: you can build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and influence at all levels 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • A proactive mindset: you identify gaps, suggest improvements, and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo when there’s a better way 
  • Resilience and professionalism:  you handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain your composure under pressure
