About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Cook to lead kitchen operations and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents at Vaucluse Gardens. This permanent part-time role works 4 days per week between Monday and Friday, typically from 7:30am to 3:30pm. You will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, taking responsibility for menu planning, food preparation, food safety compliance and day-to-day kitchen coordination, while supporting a small team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations
• Plan menus to meet dietary needs and preferences
• Prepare and serve high-quality meals
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Manage stock, ordering, and minimise waste

About You

• Experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care experience highly regarded)
• Strong menu planning and food safety knowledge
• Organised, reliable, and team-focused
• Empathetic with a passion for resident wellbeing

Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Food Safety Supervisor Accreditation (SITSS00069), or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
