About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and adaptable People and Capability Generalist to join our team in a multifaceted and hands-on role. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on diversity in their work, value collaboration, and are passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

As a vital member of the People and Capability team, you will support the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while providing practical, first-level guidance on employment matters, workplace investigations, and compliance issues.

With a strong emphasis on recruitment, employee relations, policy interpretation, and People and Capability administration, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our personnel feel supported, informed, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment across Alzheimer’s WA, including advertising roles, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing employment offers.
  • HR Administration: Prepare and manage employment contracts and documentation across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records within the HRIS (Employment Hero).
  • Training & Compliance: Support workforce compliance by monitoring and maintaining records of working rights, police clearances, and other mandatory certifications and training requirements.
  • Employment Relations: Provide guidance to managers and employees on interpreting EBA, Fair Work obligations, and internal policies, with a working understanding of relevant awards where required. Provide guidance on performance management, grievance and disciplinary matters, while assisting with workplace investigations and associated reporting.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related fields.
  • 2–3 years’ experience supporting HR functions across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on recruitment, compliance and employment lifecycle operations.
  • Solid understanding of Australian employment law and SCHADS award.
  • Experience in aged care, health and/or community services
  • High-level administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS (Employment Hero is a must).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
