Description

Together, we originate and manage lending transactions that deliver flexible, tailored solutions to borrowers and attractive risk-adjusted returns to investors.We’re looking for a Credit Analyst to join our high-performing credit team and support the continued growth of our lending and investment operations.

 

About the role

 

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you’ll play a key role in assessing and preparing credit submissions across the AltX Financial Group. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across diverse lending products.  You’ll be responsible for ensuring credit submissions are accurate, well-supported, and aligned with our internal policies, while also liaising with internal and external service partners legal teams to ensure smooth loan documentation and execution.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assessing and reviewing loan applications across multiple product lines
  • Conducting due diligence in line with AltX’s credit policies
  • Analysing financial statements, tax returns, valuations, and legal documents
  • Preparing and approving credit submissions using a Designated Lending Authority.  When a deal is outside your DLA, presenting the credit submission for approval to senior DLA holders
  • Managing the pipeline of incoming loan applications
  • Drafting loan instructions and coordinating with solicitors
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve credit processes

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in banking, non-bank lending, or financial services in a credit-focused role
  • Strong understanding of the Australian housing market and regulatory landscape
  • Proven ability to assess long-term credit products
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Clear, concise written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • A customer-first, solutions-oriented approach
