Business Development Manager, Private Lending

Reporting to the Head of Private Lending, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving growth of Assetline Capital’s private lending offering across an established network of brokers. In this role, the BDM will nurture and expand productive broker relationships, while also identifying opportunities to introduce our long-term mortgage product.

The BDM will act as a trusted business coach to their broker portfolio, proactively guiding, educating, and supporting brokers to deepen product knowledge, optimise deal structuring, and ultimately achieve strong and sustainable revenue outcomes.

What you’ll do:

• Provide exceptional experience to brokers and their customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans
• Proactively manage a sales funnel, following up deals in flight and opportunities to completion
• Educate brokers and workshopping loan opportunities to drive their business growth
• From time to time, supporting broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies and broker / customer satisfaction.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven success in private lending BDM, with strong credit knowledge and deal structuring capability
• An established network and credibility within the broker market, with experience growing a broker panel
• A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets and performance metrics
• Strong commercial acumen, including financial analysis, numeracy and attention to detail
• A genuine hunter mindset—self‑motivated, driven and focused on growth
• Confident, persuasive communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to groups
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a high‑performance environment
