As we continue to grow, we’re investing in our people, systems and workforce capability. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and capable Learning & Development HR Business Partner who is passionate about helping people learn, develop and succeed.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and making a genuine impact.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Operations, you will help shape how we attract, develop and retain our people by designing and delivering training, improving onboarding and learning pathways, and supporting workforce capability initiatives. You’ll also contribute to recruitment, onboarding and strategic people projects, providing exposure to a broad range of HR and organisational development activities.

This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, likes being busy, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved. You’ll have the opportunity to identify opportunities for improvement, influence change, contribute ideas and take ownership of projects that strengthen our workforce and employee experience.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you’ll have the opportunity to build your expertise, contribute to meaningful projects and play a key role in supporting the growth and success of our workforce.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of AAC’s learning and development initiatives, including training design, facilitation and workforce capability development.
  • Develop and enhance onboarding, induction and role-based learning pathways for office staff and support workers.
  • Identify training and capability gaps and implement practical learning solutions.
  • Manage recruitment activities including screening, interviewing, onboarding and workforce readiness.
  • Support managers with employee lifecycle matters including probation, performance, development conversations and employee engagement.
  • Assist with workers compensation and return-to-work coordination.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, talent attraction, retention and employee experience initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across learning and development, recruitment, HR systems and people processes.
  • Analyse training and recruitment outcomes and make recommendations that improve capability, engagement and organisational performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive and genuinely passionate about helping people and organisations grow.

You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to enjoy learning, asking questions, challenging the status quo and finding better ways of doing things.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has 2-5 years’ experience in Learning & Development, HR, Recruitment, People & Culture or a related field
  • Has experience coordinating, facilitating or delivering workplace training
  • Thinks analytically and enjoys turning data, feedback and observations into practical improvements
  • Takes initiative and is comfortable identifying opportunities and driving solutions
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of projects and priorities
  • Is confident building relationships and working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Is organised, accountable and follows through on commitments
  • Wants to continue developing their HR and L&D skills and is excited by new challenges
  • Enjoys contributing ideas and being part of a team that values continuous improvement

Highly Regarded:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Experience within disability, aged care, community services or another regulated industry
  • Experience using Employment Hero or similar HR systems
  • Experience supporting process improvement, workforce capability or employee engagement initiatives
