POSITION: Event Crew – Casual
LOCATION: Various Adelaide Fringe Locations
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
EMPLOYMENT: Casual – Per current Live Performance Award Rates, Level 4 $35.15p/hr + penalty rates applicable
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Production Manager, casual crew will provide production support and expertise to ensure the successful maintenance and delivery of Adelaide Fringe managed sites, projects, and activities.
ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Department: Operations & Finance
Supervises: Nil
Internal Liaisons: Executive Director – Operations & Finance, Production Coordinator, and other Adelaide Fringe staff as required
External Liaisons: Artists, suppliers, and contractors
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the direction of the Production Manager, provide production support to Adelaide Fringe produced
- events, activities, programs, venues and Adelaide Fringe managed sites.
- Provide technical support to help deliver Adelaide Fringe produced events.
- Understand and comply with all Adelaide Fringe policies and procedures, ensure all safety regulations are followed and safe working practices are observed.
- Become familiar with the emergency procedures for the site(s) you are working on.
- Observe all Work Health & Safety Regulations

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Education & Experience
- Demonstrated professional experience, knowledge and skills in production for performing arts or major events and festivals.
- Demonstrated experience as production staff and/or crew.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team on a large major event or festival.
- Demonstrated experience in working to set deadlines.
- Proven ability to deal with a broad range of people, arts companies and artists.
- Proven good communication and interpersonal skills.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- A tertiary qualification in events, technical production, and/or stage management
- Multi-skilled technical competency
- Other accreditations such as C Class Driver’s License, White Card, Forklift, EWP, First Aid Training, Fire Warden Training
