Your role:
We are seeking an experienced SMSF Manager to lead end-to-end management of SMSF compliance, and provide strategic advice, for a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients, ensuring timely delivery of financial statements, annual returns, and regulatory lodgements.
This is an opportunity for a technically strong professional ready to step into a leadership-focused role, driving client outcomes while mentoring and developing others.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Client Leadership & Advisory
· Manage a portfolio of SMSF and investment clients, acting as the primary point of contact
· Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, advisers, and stakeholders, including the Accru Wealth Management advisory team
· Provide technical advice on complex SMSF matters, compliance, and structuring
· Identify value-add opportunities and deliver proactive advisory insights
Technical Delivery & Review
· Oversee the preparation and review of:
o SMSF financial statements
o SMSF annual returns and compliance obligations
o Investment trust financial statements and tax returns
· Investment and transaction processing
· Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
· Review complex funds and provide guidance on technical issues
Team Leadership & Development
· Lead, coach, and mentor junior and intermediate team members, as well as an offshore team.
· Review work, provide feedback, and support capability development
· Delegate effectively and manage workflow across the team
· Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture
Operational & Continuous Improvement
· Drive process improvements, quality control, and efficiency
· Contribute to internal projects and system enhancements
· Support standardisation of SMSF workflows and best practices
· Maintain strong attention to compliance and risk management
