At Zoom Optics, we’re looking for a Store Manager for our beautiful Macquarie Centre clinic who brings genuine leadership presence, a passion for people, and the drive to build something special. This role is open to standout candidates from a few different paths, because great leadership shows up in more ways than one.

Who We’re Looking For

  • You may be a Senior Optical Dispenser ready to step into leadership

You know eyewear inside and out. You’ve been the person others come to for guidance, and you’ve probably been doing the manager’s job without the title. Now it’s time to make it official.

  • Or you could be an experienced Retail or Service Manager from outside optics

You’ve led high-performing teams, owned your KPIs, and thrived in a customer-focused environment. You’re ready to bring that commercial sharpness somewhere with real purpose and a premium product.

A Note on Our Community

Our Macquarie Centre clientele is beautifully diverse, and a significant part of our community is Chinese-speaking. Candidates who speak Mandarin or Cantonese will have a genuine advantage in connecting with and serving our clients though this isn’t a barrier to applying if you bring exceptional strengths in other areas.

What the Role Actually Looks Like

  • Lead, coach, and develop a close-knit team, celebrating wins and building capability every day
  • Drive sales performance with commercialinstincts and an eye on the numbers
  • Create a premium in-store experience, fromvisual merchandising to client journey
  • Own the operations, rostering, stock, compliance, and the little things that keep a store humming
  • Be the glue between our retail team and our clinical staff, making sure the two work seamlessly together

  • Proven experience leading people, whether that’s a retail team, an optical dispensing floor, or something in between
  • A people-first mindset with the commercial accumen to back it up
  • Strong organisational skills and genuine pride in your work
  • A warm, professional presence that puts both clients and team members at ease
  • Working rights in Australia

Formal optical qualifications are welcomed but not required,  we will back the right leader and invest in your development.
