The Link-Up program supports and assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people affected by past government removal policies to trace their genealogy and family history and potentially reunite with their families.

We provide an environment that enhances the healing process for Aboriginal individuals and their families experiencing emotional distress, and working towards empowerment collectively and individually.  

At all times staff operate within the Aboriginal Terms of Reference and the principals of trauma-informed.

The Role

The position is responsible for providing the first point of contact for clients of the Link-Up service, initiating the referral screening process, providing an interim service response and the primary contact for clients and referrers while clients are awaiting allocation.

Essential Criteria:

Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the selection criteria listed below.

 

1.Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

 

2.Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the Stolen Generations.

 

3.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.

 

4.Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.

 

5.Strong communication skills.

 

6.Experience with Microsoft Office and database applications.

 

7.Posess a valid driver’s licence.

 

8.National Police Certificate not less than six (6) months old.
