We are seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager of Construction to join our executive leadership team. The position is full-time and can be based out of our head office in Mulwala NSW or our Bendigo office in VIC.
As a member of the executive leadership team, this role ensures alignment between project management, site supervision, procurement, and warehousing, translating strategic objectives between construction execution, commercial objectives, and organisational strategy.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and or industry
- Current Driver’s Licence
Skills required:
- A minimum 5 years of experience in a General Management or Operations Management role.
- Senior construction leadership experience in a project-based environment.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management.
- Experience leading multi-site construction teams.
- WHS knowledge and risk management capability.
- Operational leadership, decisive decision-making capabilities and outcome focused mindset.
- High emotional intelligence and leadership qualities
- Strong communicator across site, management, executive and operational teams.
- Advanced computer literacy and Microsoft Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numeracy skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership across all construction operations, ensuring consistent delivery
standards are maintained and improved.
- Oversee project programming, sequencing, and resource allocation across all sites.
- Ensure construction activities align with contract scope, program, and budget.
- Drive productivity, accountability, and performance across construction teams.
- Act as the executive escalation point for delivery, quality, or site performance issues.
