Wunan Foundation is a leading Aboriginal development organisation based in the East Kimberley. Its purpose is to ensure that Aboriginal people in the region enjoy the capabilities and opportunities necessary to make positive choices that lead to independent, fulfilling lives.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to work at iBase, one of its four social enterprises. iBase provides bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, grant reporting and other critical back-office services to clients across WA.

Reporting to the iBase Manager, your duties would include:

• Producing monthly management reports, including grant reporting

• Presenting financials at board meetings

• Providing acquittal reports to funding bodies

• Supervising and mentoring team members

• Preparing payroll, AR, AP, reconciliations

• Preparing budgets for clients

• Providing business advice to clients

• Lodging IAS/BAS and STP

• Maintaining client relationships with timely responses to enquiries

• Liaising with other parties: funding bodies, suppliers, auditors, bankers

• Contributing to the strategic growth and success of iBase

Candidates must have at least 7 to 10 years of relevant industry experience. Fully qualified CA /CPA is preferable for this position. However, we will consider candidates who are nearly qualified too . Experience in grant reporting and in using QBO / Reckon / MYOB/ Xero is highly desirable. Excellent customer service and high-level interpersonal skills are also essential. We are looking for a great team player who has an excellent can-do attitude, with a positive outlook and who genuinely wants to make a difference to Aboriginal lives.
