About this role:
The Traffic Management Leading Hand / Crew Leader is responsible for assisting and supporting the Traffic Management Supervisor with traffic management works and coordinating traffic management teams to ensure the safe and efficient implementation of traffic management plans and guidance schemes on various construction projects across the Perth metropolitan area.
This role provides on-site guidance and direction to traffic management teams while providing onsite support to the Traffic Management Supervisor while also undertaking traffic management duties as required.
The Leading Hand / Crew Leader will be responsible for ensuring works are completed safely, efficient and to a high standard. The position involves leading by example, promoting a strong safety culture, mentoring team members and maintaining effective communication throughout all stages of traffic management operations.
What your day will look like:
- Provide consistent onsite support to the Traffic Management Supervisor.
- Implement and oversee the implementation of traffic management plans and guidance schemes.
- Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works including stop / slow activities.
- Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect work crews and members of the public.
- Guide, support and mentor traffic management personnel.
- Load and unload vehicles with signage and devices.
- Complete traffic management administrative duties.
- Complete on-site hazard assessments and implement control measures.
- Carry out and follow instructions given by the Traffic Management Supervisor.

Tickets Required:
- White Card.
- C class driver’s license – manual preferred.
- Main Roads TC, BWTM & WTM accreditations.
