Description

Where Your Work Genuinely Makes a Difference

Rehabilitation Consultant / Senior Consultant

Location: Brisbane or Gold Coast Work Options: Flexible | Hybrid Pay: Above‑industry, reviewed annually Support: Ongoing training and real backing from your team

You already know how to do good rehab work. What often gets harder is finding a workplace that trusts you to work independently, values your judgement, and still has your back when you need support.

That’s where we’re different.

At Work Rehab, we’re a medium‑sized business where consultants work autonomously day‑to‑day, but never in isolation. We collaborate, share wins, talk through challenges, and celebrate good outcomes together. Support is always available — practically, professionally, and personally.

We’re now looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Brisbane or Gold Coast team.

The Role

You’ll manage a varied and meaningful caseload, supported by experienced peers and leaders who genuinely understand rehab work.

Your role will include:

  • Developing tailored rehabilitation and return‑to‑work plans
  • Assessing physical, psychological, social, and vocational factors
  • Conducting Vocational, Workplace and Functional Capacity Assessments
  • Working collaboratively with clients, employers, treating providers and insurers
  • Providing clear, evidence‑based advice to support sustainable outcomes

What Our Consultants Value Most

  • Flexibility: Full‑time or part‑time options, hybrid work (home and office)
  • Trust & Autonomy: Manage your work your way, without micromanagement
  • Above‑Industry Pay: Competitive salary, annual reviews and bonus opportunities
  • Professional Growth: Mentoring, genuine career pathways and PD allowance
  • A Supportive Team: A connected, inclusive culture with EAP, wellness and training allowances
  • Recognition: Your efforts and results are noticed and celebrated
  • Practical Support: Pool cars, solid systems, admin support and good tech

About You

You’ll bring:

  • A qualification as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Exercise Physiologist
  • Registration with AHPRA, ESSA or ASORC
  • Around 1–2 years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with diverse stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in achieving positive, sustainable outcomes for people
  • A current driver’s licence and recent National Police Clearance
