Description

Woodham Petroleum Services is a family owned, independent fuel distributor with operations across Queensland and New South Wales. Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Depot Manager to lead and manage our Townsville depot.

About the Role

As Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the depot, including safety, people leadership, fleet management, customer service, and operational performance.

This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who can work independently, build strong relationships, and drive a positive team culture while delivering safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day to day depot operations to ensure safe and efficient fuel distribution
  • Manage and support depot employees, including drivers and operational staff, with responsibility for performance, training, and compliance
  • Coordinate customer fuel deliveries to meet service expectations and contractual requirements
  • Oversee fleet management including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements, including WHS and fatigue management
  • Manage administrative and reporting requirements associated with depot operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Occasional regional travel and out of hours work may be required based on operational needs

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a depot, operations, or logistics management role, preferably within transport or fuel distribution
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Sound understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a transport or logistics environmentStrong organisational, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Experience with fleet management, scheduling, and operational systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally is required
