Women’s Housing Company (WHC) is a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing
Provider delivering safe, secure and affordable housing for women and their
families across NSW. We manage over 1,200 properties and support more
than 2,200 women and children each year through housing and specialist
homelessness services.
We take a women‑centred, trauma‑informed approach, with a strong focus on
older women, women with children, survivors of domestic and family violence,
and single women. Guided by our values, we are growing with purpose – expanding

About
the Role
The
Team Leader, Tenancy Services is responsible for leading a high-performing
Tenancy Services team to deliver exceptional tenancy and customer service
outcomes that support tenants to sustain their tenancies and improve personal
outcomes.
This
is achieved through effective coaching, supervision, and team leadership, as
well as by maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external
stakeholders and support providers. The role also requires strong collaboration
with other WHC teams, particularly the Asset team and Partnerships &
Impact, to ensure coordinated service delivery and positive tenant outcomes,
while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, contractual obligations,
and community housing policies and procedures.
Key
Accountabilities
- Drive a high-performing team culture that attracts, retains, and develops capability to deliver Tenancy Services KPIs.
- Deliver financial and housing KPIs through effective monitoring, management, and reporting of tenancy activities.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service by enforcing standards, policies, and resolving escalated complaints.
- Maintain service quality by optimising portfolio allocation and ensuring adherence to home visit schedules.
- Strengthen tenant outcomes by building partnerships and promoting initiatives that support sustainable tenancies.
- Contribute to WHC growth by providing data and insights for funding submissions, tenders, and planning.
- Ensure compliance by implementing policy updates, maintaining accurate records, and meeting reporting obligations.
- Enhance WHC’s reputation through sector engagement, networking, and showcasing organisational impact.
Qualifications,
Experience & Knowledge
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in the human services sector
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading a high-performing team and fostering a positive team culture
- Demonstrated experience in tenancy management, with thorough knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and the Social and Community housing policy framework
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Mandatory National Police Check and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
