families across NSW. We manage over 1,200 properties and support more
than 2,200 women and children each year through housing and specialist
homelessness services.

About
the Role
The
Senior Compliance Business Partner plays a key role in coordinating
organisational compliance including internal and external reporting, quality
assurance, accreditation, and risk management activities.
Working closely with
senior leadership and partnering with staff across the organisation, this role
ensures WHC meets all regulatory and annual community housing registrar return
requirements, while also strengthening business processes and systems beyond
compliance deadlines.
This is a
detail-focused coordination and quality assurance role suited to someone who is
methodical, calm under pressure, and confident managing multiple compliance
workflows across the organisation.

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Part-Time considered)

Key
Accountabilities
- Ensures statutory and regulatory reporting obligations are met through accurate, timely data management.
- Administers and monitors WHC’s risk management framework, including maintaining risk registers and reporting.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives based on audits, compliance findings and organisational data trends.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements and registration obligations.
- Oversees contractual compliance, procurement governance and centralised contract management processes.
- Coordinates internal audit program delivery, including planning, execution and reporting to leadership and Board.
- Manages policy development, review cycles and compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Leads insurance management process, ensuring adequate coverage and annual procurement reviews.
- Supports business continuity planning, including training, testing and organisational readiness.
Qualifications,
Experience & Knowledge
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience with risk and assurance management, risk frameworks and/or internal audit
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and processes.
- Experienced in performing internal audits and internal controls assessment
- Knowledge of Australian Standards for Risk and Compliance Management
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills
- Experience with relevant software
- Mandatory National Police Check and WWCC, or willing to take one
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Diploma of Quality Auditing (BSB50920) or similar (desirable)
- Experience within the community housing or homeless services sector advantageous (desirable)
- Experience supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives (desirable)
