About the Opportunity:
Our new Caringbah clinic is scheduled to open on 7 September 2026. Training will be conducted from early to mid-August in our Macquarie Park location to ensure that our new team are fully equipped and ready for our September grand opening. This role will start as a casual with ongoing bases in August 2026, official date to be confirmed. Permanent opportunities can be discussed for suitable candidates.
This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check, as well as evidence of immunity to the specific diseases outlined under the NSW Health Category A mandatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
CIN – Waiting Room:
- Provides comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with NIX and NIMS policies
- Initiates investigations and treatments and works within a multidisciplinary, evidence-based care environment
- Identifies and escalates deteriorating patients to FACEM
- Manages change in unpredictable settings and adapts to evolving clinical needs
- Coordinates care by supervising and delegating to junior staff, ensuring safe and timely completion of tasks
- Maintains accountability under professional codes and clinical governance standards
Front Adult & Back Paediatric Areas:
- Uses AIDET for handovers and team communication
- Tracks tasks via a task manager and communicates updates through WhatsApp groups and the WiSE intranet
- Maintains accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation
- Delivers patient-centred care in collaboration with medical staff and families
- Performs IV cannulation, blood collection, and medication administration safely
- Ensures safe storage, handling, and administration of medications
- Assists with wound care, injury management, and minor procedures
Inventory Management:
- Receives, unpacks, audits, and restocks medications and consumables
- Ensures efficient resource use and effective waste management
- Maintains adequate and readily available clinical supplies
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Over 2 years’ experience in critical care and emergency nursing
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality care
- Able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced clinical settings
