Contract: Open to both casual and permanent contracts (Part-Time/Full-Time)
WiSE is looking to build out our team of Radiographers for the Caringbah location. The Radiographer plays a critical role in our healthcare team, responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position requires a skilled and experienced professional who is proficient in operating advanced radiographic equipment and can work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms and operating rooms.
The Caringbah location is scheduled to open 7th September 2026. Training will be conducted from early to mid-August in our Macquarie Park location to ensure that our new team are fully equipped and ready for our September grand opening. This role will start in August 2026, official date to be confirmed.
This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check, as well as evidence of immunity to the specific diseases outlined under the NSW Health Category A mandatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of radiographic procedures, including but not limited to CT scans, X-rays, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests, Orthopantomograms (OPG), and Image Intensifier (II) fluoroscopy.
- Operate and maintain radiography equipment, ensuring all tools are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings, including wards, Emergency Rooms (ER), and operating rooms, providing accurate and timely imaging services.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure radiation protection measures are in place for patients, staff, and oneself.
- Handle and manage patient complaints professionally, ensuring their concerns are addressed with empathy and efficiency.
- Work effectively under pressure in high-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to manage stress while delivering high-quality care.
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality of all medical information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Academic Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging or equivalent.
Certification: Registered Radiographer with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiographer.
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings, including wards, ER, and operating rooms.
- Proficiency in operating CT, X-ray, BMD, OPG, and II fluoroscopy equipment. Up-to-date knowledge of radiography technology and best practices.
