Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager / Senior Manager to join our team in North Sydney, New South Wales. This is a permanent, full-time role.

As a Manager in our Audit and Assurance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

Your expertise in financial reporting standards and audit methodologies will contribute to the success of our engagements and the growth of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement audit strategies and methodologies tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Review audit documentation and reports, providing guidance and feedback to team members.
  • Foster trusted relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing strategic insights.
  • Provide technical expertise on accounting standards and policy applications, supporting clients in mitigating financial risks.
  • Collaborate with Partners and other senior team members to coordinate engagement activities and drive firm initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA/CA qualification with a minimum of 7 years of experience in audit and assurance services.
  • At least 3 years of experience at audit manager level.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS and other accounting GAAP, with a focus on financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple engagements and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems, as well as office suite and data analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively, with strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning, staying up to date with industry developments and best practices.
