We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer -Electrical Balance of Plant (eBOP) to support a major project through the delivery phases. The position will be office based for approximately six months before transitioning to a FIFO site-based role during construction. The site
phase is expected to last approximately two years and will follow a 10/4 roster.
Position Snapshot
You will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of the eBOP package for a utility-scale wind farm project, with a strong focus on contract administration, contractor management, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. The role is responsible for supporting the management of the Design & Construct (D&C) contractor, ensuring contractual obligations are met, project risks are effectively managed, and works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the eBOP Package Manager, you will provide oversight across detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities. A key aspect of the position involves monitoring contractor performance against contractual requirements, managing variations and claims, reviewing progress and commercial
reporting, coordinating key deliverables, and supporting the resolution of technical and contractual issues.
The eBOP scope includes major electrical infrastructure comprising:
- 100 km of 33kV reticulation network
- 23 km of 275kV transmission line
- Two substations
- Integration with a 100MW Battery Energy Storage
System (BESS)
The role requires extensive coordination and interface management across contractors, turbine suppliers, network service providers (NSPs), OEMs, consultants, and regulatory authorities. The successful candidate will proactively manage project risks, facilitate stakeholder alignment,
monitor contractor compliance, and ensure all contractual deliverables are achieved.
As part of an integrated project team, you will contribute to robust governance, effective commercial outcomes, and strong contractor relationships while ensuring all works are executed in accordance with company standards, project requirements, regulatory obligations, and legislative requirements. The role also champions a positive safety culture and collaborative approach to project delivery.

You are an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a proven track record delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Combining strong technical expertise with
exceptional contract management and contractor oversight capabilities, you thrive in complex project environments where safety, quality, cost, and schedule are critical to success.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing major construction or infrastructure contracts, including contractor performance, variations, claims, and commercial risk.
- Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure projects, ideally within renewable energy, transmission, substations, or utility-scale power generation.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and contractors while maintaining focus on project outcomes.
- Experience monitoring contractor compliance against contractual, technical, safety, and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to risk management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- A commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company governance requirements.
