About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to join our Corporate Services team.

This role provides hands-on HR administration and payroll processing support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate employee records, compliant payroll processing, and effective use of our Employment Hero HR system within a growing organisation.

Working closely with the Corporate Services Manager and leadership team, you will play a key role in maintaining HR systems, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR and payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR administration across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding
  • Recruitment and onboarding support including advertising roles, coordinating interviews, and preparing employment documentation
  • Payroll processing using Employment Hero including timesheets, leave, allowances, superannuation, and routine adjustments
  • Maintenance of employee records, HR documentation, and compliance registers
  • Support and coordination of Employment Hero HR modules including workflows, forms, and system processes
  • First-level HR and payroll support to staff and managers, escalating complex matters where required
  • Contribution to process improvement and efficient HR and payroll systems

About You

You are highly organised, accurate, and confident working in a fast-paced administrative environment. You enjoy working with systems, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable managing competing priorities.

You will bring:

  • Experience in HR administration and/or payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems (Employment Hero experience highly desirable)
  • Understanding of employment legislation, confidentiality, and award compliance (SCHADS experience highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently within established processes
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • National Police Check (required prior to commencement)
