OUR VISION:
Women and children in Far North Queensland live free from fear or domestic, family and sexual violence and can realise their potential
OUR PURPOSE:
Lead with courage and compassion to create culturally safe services, spaces and communities that support healing and recovery, and amplify Indigenous women and children’s voices in policy and practice
OUR VALUES
Warringu is an Aboriginal Community Controlled, not-for-profit organisation governed by a community Board of Directors. We deliver specialist services supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children impacted by domestic, family and/or sexual violence and homelessness across Cairns and surrounding regions, including Yarrabah, the Atherton Tablelands, Cape York and the Torres Strait.
Leading with courage and compassion isn’t just how we support the communities we work with — it’s how we support our own people too. As a not-for-profit dedicated to creating culturally safe spaces that foster healing and recovery, we know that great work starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and set up to thrive. That’s why we’ve put together a benefits package designed with you in mind.
We believe fair pay is the foundation of a supportive workplace. That’s why we offer competitive rates of pay that recognise your expertise and the impact you bring.
As a not-for-profit, we offer generous salary packaging: sacrifice up to $15,900 per year, plus $2,895 for meals and entertainment, to boost your take-home pay. A novated lease option is also available if that suits your needs better.
We go beyond the standard 12% super guarantee, contributing an additional 1% to help set you up for the future.
We provide five weeks of annual leave each year, an extra week beyond the standard, because we genuinely care about your wellbeing. Time to rest and recharge isn’t a luxury here; it’s part of how we support you.
We’re committed to investing in your growth, offering ongoing training and development opportunities to support you at every stage of your career.
