The Role
This hands-on Truck Driver role is ideal for a reliable, safety-focused team member who enjoys being on the road, working with customers and supporting day-to-day site operations.
Based at Kemps Creek, you will be responsible for safely collecting, transporting, loading and unloading scrap metal and recycling materials while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, customer service and safe work practices.
What you’ll be doing
As a Truck Driver, you’ll play an important role in keeping our operations moving safely and efficiently. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll be responsible for transport duties, safe loading and unloading, customer interactions and completing required paperwork and compliance checks.
- Driving company heavy vehicles safely and professionally.
- Collecting and transporting scrap metal bins and recycling materials.
- Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
- Completing transport paperwork, pre-start checks and compliance documentation.
- Following Chain of Responsibility, load restraint, fatigue management and company safety requirements.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service at collection and delivery points.
- Supporting general yard duties when required, including keeping work areas clean and safe.
About You
You are a dependable and safety-conscious driver with a strong work ethic, great attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
You will bring:
- A current Australian HR Truck Licence.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar truck driving, transport or yard-based role.
- Experience in waste, recycling or scrap metal industries is desirable.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
- Punctuality, reliability and pride in doing the job safely and properly.
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual tasks when required.
- A proactive, safety-first approach and the ability to follow procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Australian HR Truck Licence.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant truck driving experience.
- Ability to complete transport paperwork and compliance checks accurately.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
