Role Summary
This hands-on role is responsible for the management of stock movements from location to location and within our warehouse to maintain stock levels, ensure no theft and prevent loss of supplies from impacting the business. High levels of attention to detail are paramount to ensure accuracy of records and maintain stock within expiry periods, and to meet industry regulations. Working closely with the busy warehouse team, this role is critical to our successful functions. This role will be based on working Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
Key Accountabilities
- Uphold company values and customer service standards at all times.
- Conducting physical stock counts daily to ensure no thefts and assisting with loss prevention.
- Monthly stock takes and EOFY stock counts (the team helps with this too).
- Maintaining stock levels, replenishing shelves, and ensuring correct batches are on shelves at all times.
- Managing Stock movements from location to location. Ensuring at all times that the physical stock location matches that within the inventory management system. This includes movements to help maintain optimum space.
- Maintaining accurate inventory batch / short expiry records.
- Logging all inventory purchases, receiving stock into the warehouse and processing invoices. This includes meeting courier deliveries and updating both the courier registers and the incoming stock register, counting and verifying all inbound stock, and putaway.
- Space planning.
- Labelling inventory for easy in-house inventory identification (tally sheets).
- Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, Team Leader and the Purchasing Manager on expected stock levels, stock arrival calendar, issues and problem-solving.
- Issuing Security tags, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date tag register. Conducting tag audits to ensure the tags issued are still on the boxes.
- Assisting with shipping. To assist the packing team when needed. Shipping supplier return orders.
- Adhere to all OHS requirements and report to management as required.
- And other duties as may be required, from time to time.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Tech-savvy with advanced computer processing skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work at a pace, multitask, and alternate between rolling your sleeves and contributing strategically.
- You’ll be comfortable working in a scaling start-up environment where you’re expected to do a bit of everything.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret productivity and resource management data.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- You’ll possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and form genuine relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Administration and data entry experience.
- Australian working rights for at least 3 years.
- Must be willing to obtain a National Police Check.
Highly regarded but not essential:
- Related tertiary qualification.
- Enthusiasm to handle high and sometimes stressful workloads
- Folk lift license.
- Experience in warehouses with a 100% inventory accuracy rate.
- Experience with WMS or ERP systems.
