Youth Hub Coordinator

Visual Dreaming is searching for a permanent employee to coordinate and run our Aboriginal Youth Hub, creating a safe and welcoming space that celebrates and supports Aboriginal culture.

This position will help develop and deliver culturally appropriate programs and activities that empower and engage Aboriginal youth.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and run our Aboriginal Youth Hub, creating a safe and welcoming space that celebrates and supports Aboriginal culture.

Develop and deliver culturally appropriate programs, activities, and workshops that empower and engage Aboriginal youth.

Build strong relationships with local Aboriginal communities, organisations and Elders

Provide mentorship, guidance and support to Aboriginal youth helping them connect with their culture, overcome challenges and achieve their goals

Keep track of program outcomes, manage budgets and prepare reports to showcase the impact of the hub

Requirements

Experience in program coordination, youth work or a related field preferably with a focus on Aboriginal communities

Strong understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture and issues facing Aboriginal youth

Organisations skills to manage multiples tasks, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines

WWCC, Police Check
