We’re looking for experienced Machine Operators to take ownership of dedicated packaging machines within our production facility. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, is confident troubleshooting equipment issues, and is motivated by achieving production targets through their own initiative and performance. Experience operating sachet, flow wrapping or VFFS machinery will be highly regarded.
About the Role
This is a standalone operator role where you’ll take ownership of a dedicated packaging machine and be responsible for its day-to-day performance. You’ll work independently for much of the shift, managing machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, quality checks and output to ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, mechanically minded and takes pride in running their machine efficiently with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of a dedicated packaging machine and its performance
- Operating, monitoring and adjusting machinery to achieve production targets
- Maintaining required run rates and minimising downtime
- Troubleshooting machine faults and production issues independently
- Completing machine setups, product changeovers and routine maintenance activities
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring products meet specifications
- Accurately completing production documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and output
- Maintaining GMP, HACCP and workplace safety standards
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Demonstrated ability to manage machine performance, output and downtime
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Reliable work ethic and ability to perform with minimal supervision
Highly Desirable
- Experience operating sachet packaging machinery
- Experience with flow wrappers, VFFS (Vertical Form Fill & Seal) equipment or similar packaging machines
- FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or supplement manufacturing experience
- Exposure to GMP and HACCP environments
