Our opportunity
As a Senior Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of VVMF’s facility infrastructure, utilities, and critical systems.
You will support GMP manufacturing by maintaining systems in a safe, compliant, and operationally efficient state, while also contributing to capital projects, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and maintain critical facility systems (HVAC, clean utilities, water systems, compressed gases, BMS)
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, including contractor coordination
- Respond to alarms and breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Maintain GMP-compliant documentation and data integrity standards
- Support audit readiness, inspections, and CAPA implementation
- Lead and contribute to facilities projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across facility performance, safety, and sustainability
About you
You are a proactive, solutions-focused professional with a “can-do” attitude and a deep respect for the rigors of a GMP environment.
You’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Instrumentation).
- Experience maintaining critical utilities and facility systems in regulated and cGMP environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory standards (TGA, FDA, EMA, ICH)
- Proven ability to manage maintenance programs and contractors
- Experience supporting capital projects, validation, and audits
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
