About Us
Veritas House is a vibrant not-for-profit, community-based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people & their families. Veritas currently delivers services in a range of DCJ funded programs.
You’ll be part of a caring, values-driven team that’s passionate about creating positive outcomes — while enjoying a workplace that values authenticity, collaboration and growth.
About the Program
The primary objective of the Family Preservation Program is to keep children safe at home with their families, and prevent removal, placement in out of home care, and future contact with the child protection system. Family preservation also supports children and families to achieve wider social benefits, including better education attainment and improved health and wellbeing outcomes.
‘’Families Together” is a framework within this program. It is voluntary and aims to build on a family’s strengths and capabilities to respond to their children’s needs and to create a safe and nurturing home. At Veritas House, we deliver a range of supports within this framework to promote parenting skills, family functioning, child development, as well as practical support to help create a safe home environment.
