The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our Wildflower Kitchen. Reporting to the Head Pastry Chef, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and craft alongside a passionate team in a world-class environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing, producing and presenting high-quality pastry dishes with consistency in taste and appearance
  • Supporting stock control, food ordering and maintaining market lists
  • Assisting in the upkeep of kitchen standard operating procedures
  • Controlling costs through minimising spoilage, managing inventory and practising portion control
  • Maintaining HACCP standards and all food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Keeping all equipment, machinery and utensils clean and in good working order
  • Contributing to a positive, professional kitchen environment and supporting senior team members
  • Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses in line with WHS obligations

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of a commercial cookery apprenticeship or equivalent trade qualification (required for this classification)
  • Proven experience in a pastry kitchen, ideally in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment
  • A passion for high-quality pastry and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills
  • Sound knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP principles
  • Willingness to learn, grow and take direction from senior personnel
