This investment will scale Vault’s SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia’s strategic national security demands. We’re looking for a high impact Test Automation Lead to join our Technology Team for a 6 month fixed-term contract. In this crucial scale-up role, you will be responsible for building and architecting a robust test automation framework from scratch. Located onshore in Australia (Remote), this position offers a unique chance to work on secure, cutting-edge cloud technologies that protect Australia’s most sensitive data.
You will be responsible for:
- Architect, design, and build a scalable, sustainable Test Automation framework from the ground up to cover critical system features.
- Write clean, reusable automation scripts maximizing coverage for high-priority features.
- Build automated test strategies directly into the deployment pipelines. Test public/sovereign cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates using automated and manual tools.
- Create clear documentation and training materials (test plans, performance briefs, implementation guides, and best practices) to upskill the cross-functional engineering team to run, maintain, and expand the automation suite.
- Monitor test runs, identify core system bugs, and assist cross-functional teams with deep-dive technical troubleshooting.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:
- A proven history of building and deploying test automation frameworks from scratch within fast paced IT scale-up environments.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with container management and orchestration technologies alongside cloud platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
- Advanced expertise in the testing lifecycle, API testing (REST APIs), and overall process improvement related to IT quality assurance.
- Detail oriented mindset with the ability to work independently within a cross functional team and communicate effectively with the senior leadership team.
- Ability to adapt and communicate a testing approach in the context of the solution, whether constrained by time, budget, or proof-of-concept requirements.
- Onshore Requirement: Must be currently living and working onshore in Australia for the duration of the 6-month contract.
