We’re looking for a Head of Platform Operations to take the wheel of our end to end Product Factory. In this newly created role, you will lead a team and own the entire “Build to Run” pipeline, ensuring every line of code is verifiable, secure, and ready for deployment in complex, highly regulated environments. You’ll be the champion of our “One Product” vision: balancing proactive tech upgrades with sharp incident triage, and acting as the true business owner of our Digital Twin environment. You will:
- Own and evolve the “Factory” that builds our code, ensuring CI/CD pipeline maturity and high assurance delivery through automated triggers and quality gates.
- Act as the ultimate gatekeeper for production, managing release planning and versioning integrity
- Serve as the Business Owner for the Digital Twin
- Act as the primary technical bridge between Delivery squads and Operations teams, facilitating critical feedback loops into the product lifecycle.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Australian Citizenship: Must hold or have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ITIL v4 Certification (desirable) or equivalent experience in Service Management and Operational Triage.
- Experience in leading, managing, and mentoring highly technical staff
- Demonstrated experience in high-assurance or sovereign environments.
- A proven track record in technical leadership, with the ability to manage priorities and challenges in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience managing complex, multi-stage deployment pipelines and release orchestration frameworks while securing software standards within highly regulated ecosystems.
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), pipeline automation, and intermediate practical experience with OpenStack and hyperscale cloud environments.
- Solid knowledge of verification and testing methodologies to validate the Digital Twin, combined with basic foundational experience in product ownership.
