The Role:

Based at our Carrington facility, we’ve got an opening for a mechanically minded Trades Assistant to support our fitters and mechanics on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. You’ll be helping out on everything from mine spec vehicles to vacuum trucks and service rigs — assisting with builds, servicing, repairs, fault‑finding, and general maintenance tasks.

To be considered for this role, you will

  • A solid mechanical mindset — experience around Mechanical Fitters or Heavy Diesel Mechanics is highly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience working with vehicles or mobile plan
  • Any hydraulic knowledge is handy (not essential)
  • Able to work on your own when needed and follow instructions clearly.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable with strong time management
  • Physically capable of repetitive workshop tasks — lifting, bending, twisting
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Able to pass a pre‑employment medical
