We are seeking an experienced Systems & Technology Coordinator to join our team and become the primary technology support resource for Norship.

Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, this is a hands-on role supporting our people, systems and technology infrastructure across multiple sites. You will work closely with the wider Varley Group ICT team while maintaining a strong focus on the unique operational requirements of Norship.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, improving systems and identifying smarter ways of working.

 About the Role

The Systems & Technology Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving Norship’s technology environment.

The role combines day-to-day user support with system administration, cyber security, infrastructure maintenance, project delivery and business system improvement.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices and business applications.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environments including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Platform and Exchange
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, MFA and identity management controls.
  • Support network infrastructure including switches, connectivity and telephone systems.
  • Assist with server administration, backup management and disaster recovery processes.
  • Support security systems including access control and CCTV platforms.
  • Manage ICT asset procurement, deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor system health, cyber security alerts, account lockouts, email quarantine and security logs.
  • Assist with Essential Eight compliance and continuous cyber security improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate technology upgrades, projects and system improvements.
  • Work alongside the Varley Group ICT team to support shared initiatives and technology integration projects.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements and digital transformation across the business.

 About You

We are looking for a practical, customer-focused technology professional who enjoys being the person people turn to when they need help.

You will be equally comfortable troubleshooting a user issue, deploying a new device, administering Microsoft 365, reviewing cyber security controls or contributing to technology improvement projects.

 Essential Requirements

  • Experience in ICT support, systems administration or a similar technology-focused role.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Microsoft Teams
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
    • Windows desktop and server environments
    • WAN environments

  • Understanding of networking, connectivity and infrastructure support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and information security best practice.
  • Ability to understand and support Norship’s Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations and Defence cyber security requirements.
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Ability to successfully complete a National Police Check to obtain Defence Security Clearances.
  • Current driver’s licence.

 

 Desirable

  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience with Essential Eight, cyber security frameworks or security governance.
  • Experience within Defence, maritime, industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with business systems, reporting tools and workflow automation.
  • Exposure to CCTV, access control or physical security systems.
  • Mobile app development and maintenance

Technology and cyber security are critical to Norship’s operations and Defence industry obligations.

The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting the organisation’s cyber security maturity, DISP requirements and information security obligations.

As part of the role, the Systems & Technology Coordinator will undertake relevant professional development, including Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO) training, to support Norship in maintaining compliance and keeping abreast of evolving Defence cyber security requirements.
