The Role:

We have a full-time opportunity at our Tomago site for an experienced Purchasing Officer that will assist in ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, quality is maintained and budgets are met.

This role will involve:

• Sourcing materials and components

• Being the first point of contact for purchasing requirements and queries

• Negotiating best pricing and trading terms with suppliers

• Ensuring preferred vendors are used and processes are adhered to

• Review market and industry trends and propose strategies to improve processes and supply chain as required

• Regularly monitor ERP to assist with ensuring production schedules can be met

• Purchasing Administration

• Working closely with our production manager to ensure we have stock and materials for production

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar purchasing role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Proven experience as an analytical thinker and problem-solver

• Demonstrated experience in developing client relationships – internal and external

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably Epicor but not essential)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
