Uplyft are seeking an experienced Senior Family Support Worker to deliver high-quality case management and early intervention services to families with children aged 0–12 years.

  • Fixed Term part-time position until 30/06/2027 (30 hours per week)

About the Role

As the Senior Family Support Worker, you will provide early intervention and case management support to families with children aged 0–12 years. Working from a strengths-based, family-centred approach, you will build positive relationships with parents, children and caregivers to strengthen parenting skills, support child wellbeing and help families achieve their goals.

You will deliver tailored parenting support, coordinate referrals to appropriate services, and engage families through community activities and events that promote positive parenting and early intervention.

About You

You’ll be passionate about supporting children and families and bring the following skills and experience:

  • Diploma in Community Services, Human Services or a related qualification (or higher).
  • Experience working with parents and carers, delivering parenting education and family support.
  • Sound knowledge of child development, family functioning, behaviour management and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong case management, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, with an understanding of the impacts of intergenerational trauma on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and families.
