About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Assessing / Estimating Learning & Development Manager to lead the training, development, and ongoing capability uplift of our Building Assessors across residential insurance claims. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our Assessing team is equipped with the technical knowledge, confidence, and consistency required to deliver high-quality insurance assessments. Working closely with the Assessing and Estimating Manager, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs while also providing practical, hands-on support in complex and escalated claims where required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering structured onboarding programs for new Building Assessors
- Developing ongoing training frameworks for residential insurance assessing capability
- Supporting assessors with technical guidance across complex and escalated claims
- Coaching and mentoring assessors in field and desktop assessment environments
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy in scope of works, estimating, and reporting standards
- Supporting continuous improvement in assessing processes, tools, and documentation
- Collaborating with internal teams and insurance partners to uplift technical capability
- Travelling regularly across Victoria and intermittently Queensland to deliver in-person training and support
Requirements:
- Clear National Police Check
- Valid Driver’s License
- Working with Children Check
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Willingness to travel regularly across VIC and QLD
